This is a bit of continuation from my previous post.  This sweet family tagged along during my Photog Family session on the weekend.  They are friends of the family and happen to live in Canberra.  Whilst they were there, I had a to take a few snaps of them too.  Gotta love it when kids pose for me.  : )  How cute are they?

You have a couple of cute kids Ally!  : )

I had the opportunity today to take some family snaps for a photog friend of mine.  She travelled with her family all the way from Wagga Wagga (2 1/2 hours away) for the event.  I felt privelged that she wanted me to take her family pictures.  It’s always such an honour when asked by another photog to photograph them.  We had a great time at the park today.  I almost got every shot I wanted to get except for a headshot of her oldest son.  He was not having it.  I guess that’s what happens when you’re a kid of a photog…you get sick of the camera being in your face all the time…LOL  Oh well, at least I caught him in the family snap!  Luckily her youngest smiled sweetly for me on his own.  What a cutie.  Here are a few from today.

Isn’t she gorgeous?

Thanks for today Jodie.  I hope you like them!  I’ll let you know about the rest soon.

We made it to Canberra!  We are officially moved into our new house.  No more boxes to unpack.  All I have left to do is organise the studio and then I’m all set!  Yippee!  I love Canberra so far.  The climate is perfect.  I can actually open the windows in my house to get some fresh air blowing through the place.  Love that!

Christmas was great.  This was the first time we have spent Christmas alone as a family.  The kids had a great time and it was fun to see them opening presents and playing with their toys.  Christmas is way more fun with kids.  : )

I’m lucky to have been able to take the past month off.  I was a bit overworked before we left Darwin but I loved every minute of it.  I still have a few orders to wrap up and then I’m free to start shooting in Canberra.  I’m looking forward to meeting new people and I can’t wait to see what 2010 has in store for me!  Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I thought I would take a look back at 2009.  I worked my butt off this year!  So many wonderful clients and so many beautiful pictures to choose from.  I had a hard time deciding!  Anyway, without further adieu…here are my top ten fave pics from 2009…enjoy!

Well, I had my last session in Darwin on Sunday.  It’s a bit sad really.  I will miss the beautiful beaches.  I guess I’ll have to find some new and exciting locations in Canberra now.  I’ll be scouting the area soon!  We pack up on Wednesday and fly out on Saturday.  Not long now!  In the meantime I’ve still got a lot to get done.  I’ve got one more thing I can tick off my list though and that’s the sneak peek for this gorgeous family.  I had a great time playing on the beach with this sweet little girl.  She was a bit tired and hungry, so I was happy that I was able to get what I did.  I just made a fool of myself as usual and that seemed to squeeze a few smiles out…LOL  Here are a few from my last Darwin session!

Thanks for letting me take your pictures Kat!  You have such a gorgeous little girl.  I had a great time chasing her around the beach.  :)

I had a photoshoot early this morning at a nearby beach and the light was absolutely magical.  It was an early shoot at 6:30am but SOOOO worth it!  I just love the light in the morning.  It’s so soft and beautiful.  I’ve photographed this family before when the baby was a newborn and they were back again for some more shots.  He’s six months old now and such a little cutie.  So sweet and smiling the whole time.  We got lots of great pictures.  Here are a few of them:
